#HelloHipHop (2011 – 2021)
Founded by V!sual in 2011, #HelloHipHop began as a monthly open-mic in Chicago and quickly grew into a full-scale platform for hip-hop culture, consultancy, and city-wide artist development. Over the next decade he produced, hosted, and organized 500-plus concerts, cyphers, and industry panels, giving hundreds of rappers, DJs, and producers their first professional stage while pairing many shows with food- and toy-drive fundraising for local families.
The brand’s grassroots buzz carried it to Austin, where V!sual booked official #HelloHipHop showcases and send-off events during SXSW 2016 and 2017, putting Chicago talent in front of international industry crowds. Today, the series stands as a blueprint for DIY hip-hop entrepreneurship, built on culture, collaboration, and community uplift.
